Bill was a gentle man of generous spirit, learned without pomposity. He enjoyed life to the full and it was great fun to be with him. Above all he was a great family man. He is sorely missed

Our family was fortunate enough to have met Bill in the winter of 2004, shortly after Francis and Hee Jin were married. We were immediately taken by his kindness and gentleness. Seemingly in minutes, it felt like the start of one big family. Not to mention that we shared the same wedding anniversary as Una and Bill - surely it was fate!
Last year we were lucky enough to see Una and Bill again when they came to visit New York a second time. We had such a wonderful visit to Ellis Island together in search of our familial roots. We miss Bill and send all our love to Una, Francis and Rosie. We feel lucky to have Francis here in New York with Hee Jin, as he is a constant reminder of his family.
